I've gotta stop reading the news at the beginning of my work day, it just puts me in a state of despair where I don't want to bother getting anything done. #FuckFaceVonClownStick
oh god yes. after nuking my day from orbit more days than I cared to count, I eventually made a twitter reading list of "people i care about who rarely post about current events" and stopped reading FB in the morning at all, and it's helped. (I never actually read news intentionally at all, i seem to absorb enough from other venues.)
Every weekday morning, I have my tea and a cookie while I read my news aggregators. The cookie doesn't make it any less of a 24/7 tire fire, but it helps remind me to relax my jaw and shoulders.

So, how's the family doing?
